The SWISS SCHOOL OF PROSTHETICS by CANDULOR is the new Swiss quality brand for continuing education in the field of removable dentures. The postgraduate program offers the theory and practice of removable dentures for dentists, dental technicians and prosthodontists who do not simply want to offer patients a standard solution and wish to achieve greater security as a constant feature of their prosthetic success.

Quando una scintilla si propaga da una persona all'altra, è puro entusiasmo. È quanto è accaduto all'edizione di quest'anno del concorso KunstZahnWerk di CANDULOR. L'uno aveva già vinto, l'altro voleva superare questa sfida di abilità manuale al pari dell'amico e collega.

Al momento della riabilitazione protesica illustrata in questa sede, la paziente Livia aveva 65 anni. Lamentava la scarsa stabilità delle protesi totali nell'arcata superiore e inferiore, in particolare problemi dovuti alla marcata mobilità della protesi inferiore.

Total prosthetics, today increasingly also overdenture or hybrid prostheses, gives patients everything back, in the mouth and before. It is also the basic qualification in dental technician craftsmanship, to replace what has been lost functionally, anatomically and esthetically.
An essential prerequisite is spatial imagination, as demanded for total prosthetics. It is therefore both the basic and master qualification.

HYBRID PROSTHESES ARE BEST LINGUALIZED
Abutment teeth and implants do not tolerate horizontal forces over the long term very well. This is certainly a truism but extensive, and above all heavy, contacts on buccal cusps are still observed in many restorations. Long-term stability can be achieved using BC contacts, a fact we have known for a long time. The question of how we can achieve this for hybrid prostheses is more relevant than ever.
